Story

"Touching a fabric is like loving it"

It is the beginning of our story. A love affair born in 1950 from the union between passion and care, two unavoidable elements for a lasting and happy relation. Reliance and accuracy for our job are also our distinctive features. These are all the aspects inherited from the landscape which is the setting for this romantic novel: Salento. It is indeed in 1980, in the small village of Alessano, situated on the farthest strip of land of Apulia, that a young Michele Liso – founder and father of the present firm owners – creates the textile industry Tre Campane.

Time goes by, and the father decides to teach his artistry to his sons: over 1.500 original drawings, scrupulously guarded, witness those precious lessons handed down from father to son.

The enterprise grows, deriving regular nourishment also from multicoloured fabric dyes, never gloomy, new production processes, and counting on modern technologies. The traditional manual ability is nevertheless retained, owing to its utter indispensability to the processing of natural fibres such as cotton, cord, flax and cachemire.

The ancient weaving secrets are kept inside the walls of the firm. This knowledge was mostly passed on, among looms and counters covered by different kinds of bright fabrics, by the old ladies of the village. The processing is strictly handcrafted.

You can appreciate, for instance, the Macramé knots lace, brought into Salento during the Arab and Turkish invasions, reworked with ability by our experienced ladies.

Is it then possible to mix in a single concept tradition and modernity? Sure, it is. We can do it thanks to the use of biodegradable materials obtained from renewable sources, such as flax and coco, establishing a new notion of modern design.

The company has received three times (1981, 1988, 1995) the award “Miglior qualità di tessuto” – “Best fabric quality” during the events which took place in Bari.

How is it possible? The answer is easy: the yarn processing, the weaving and the packaging are punctuated by the rhythm of the autochthonous textile tradition.

We have an official partnership with the famous local brand “Salento d’Amare” (Salento to love) and we realize fabrics for the everyday needs: towels, tablecloths, tea towels, interior design cushions, pillows. You can choose for each of these items your favourite prints, embroideries and patterns.

We would like to conclude our story with a little advice that will ensure you an happy ending: what about reading these last lines cosily lying down, rocked by our orthopedic bed bases and spring-mattresses? Our innovative employment of latex for pillows and surgical mattresses is a guarantee of quality.

There is nothing else to do but to come and see us.
